wow, really shameless and RACIST undertones in this choice of words. the artists are the new frontiersmen ("pioneers"!!!) who, like their 19th century predecessors, are gonna chase out the indians (e.g. Turks).

no surprise when we go on to read

Remember?  the guy who mailed 1000 letters to his rotary/corporate law buddies in order to roll back the Hamburger Kunstverein Vorstandwahl results of Sept 9 2005 (where he placed only 7th).

Also (what a coincidence!) a REAL ESTATE INVESTOR, who has not-so-magnaniminously jacked the rent at Westwerk.

Waitz, as a corporate lawyer (ex-Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer), knows a lot about TAX DODGES like the German "Stiftungs."
This "Hamburger Kulturraumstiftung" sounds like a new attractive product he can offer his clients.

What would this farce be, however, without...

...that will infallibly select artists docile and well-disposed (not to mention, probably, ex-Neue Kunst in Hamburg winners) towards the "Kulturmotors" and "Leistungträgers" keen on making every remaining available (central) corner of the city "theirs."

The alternative (are you listening, "greens"?) is a democratization of the use of land, that overrules the principles of "höchstbietende" and restricts individual (and speculators') property rights. 

Let's keep the decision over city land use away from the rotary club/investor scene and the CORRUPT politicians subject to it!!
