24th INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM FESTIVAL BERLIN: 4th. to 9th of Nov. 2008

Welcome! Save the Date! Send us short films! More than 400 films will  
be shown

during the six days of the festival and an estimated 100 films will be  
nominated to

compete in several competitions giving prizes worth 40.000,- (60.000,-  
US$).

International juries
will award ‘interfilm Short Awards’ in the following categories:

International Competition
Documentary Competition
Confrontations - against Violence and Intolerance
German Competition
Children & Youth Film Competition
Eject ‘The Long Night of the Unexpected’

Apart from the competitions, the festival includes a special Focus on  
Russia and Mexico. Additionally

we present historical programmes, animations, experimentals, music  
clips, commercials, documentary

films and computer animation. We offer a film market and organize  
thematically related seminars, panels

and parties.

INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN & YOUTH SHORT FILM FESTIVAL BERLIN:
1st to 9th of Nov. 08

Besides the international competitions there will be special  
programmes, panels and a workshop for children.

Herzlich willkommen! Das Internationale Kurzfilmfestival Berlin ruft  
Filmschaffende auf, sich mit Kurzfilmen zu bewerben. Save the Date:  
Während der sechs Festivaltage werden in Wettbewerben und  
Rahmenprogrammen über 400 Werke gezeigt. Er werden Preise im Wert von  
€ 40.000,- vergeben.

Internationale Jurys
verleihen “interfilm Short Awards" in den Kategorien:

Internationaler Wettbewerb
Deutscher Wettbewerb
Dokumentarfilmwettbewerb
Konfrontationen - gegen Gewalt und Intoleranz
Kinder und Jugend Film Wettbewerb
Eject - die lange Nacht des abwegigen Films

Der Länderschwerpunkt 2008 konzentriert sich auf Russland und Mexiko.  
Wir bieten historische Kurzfilme, Animationen, Experimentalfilme,  
Local Heroes, Musikclips, Werbefilme und eine Vielzahl weiterer  
thematischer Reihen. Filmmarkt, Panels, Brunch, Lounge und Partys  
runden das Festival ab.

INTERNATIONALES KINDER UND JUGEND KURZFILMFESTIVAL BERLIN
Kuki – Kurze für Kids : 01. bis 09. Nov. 2008

Neben dem internationalen Wettbewerb präsentiert das Kinder und Jugend  
Kurzfilmfestival thematische Rahmenprogramme, Panels und einen Workshop.
